Well I just finished watching this piece of classic cinema and wow...they don't make movies like this anymore. Take note though this film is slow; it's a very subtle piece of cinema set at a deliberate pace. In true Hitchcock style it has little action and focuses more on building suspense. Director Richard Donner has casted a very atmospheric film with next to no blood or gore into it. Sure there are a few shocks in it but nothing too elaborate and the music is worth a special mention as it is some of the most haunting ever heard. At the time this was the first big project for Donner (who went on to direct "superman" among others) who relies more on the imagination of audiences to create an eerie feeling. There were two sequels made in the franchise but were lacking in terms of suspense of the original. Adding to this, there was also a 2006 remake but even though it was a frame-by-frame replica had something missing from it. See the original rather than the remake.
In this day and age, who has the time to read long reviews? So why not read opinions (one persons opinions but opinions nevertheless). As the title says, you will find my opinions on not only movies but gadgets, wearables, food or whatever I have an opinion about. Short disclaimer: these are MY opinions, they are not meant to offend anyone or be offensive. I started this blog as a hobby and it will continue to be my hobby and I will add to it whenever I have the time.
