once upon a time in China trilogy review

Well what can I say about this trilogy that hasn't already been said? One thing that must be said  is that these films do require repeated viewings. On initial viewing, the series loses steam from the get go...picks it up in the middle and causes confusion during the last film. Only with repeated viewings one can fully appreciate the story. Light hearted entertainment this is not. The first film is were the deep story lies whereas the second, although a shallower story has enjoyable fight scenes between the main actors and the third kinda loses its way what with being romantic and colourful (see it and you'll see what I mean). Regardless of the faults, has great fight choreography and wire work and worth watching for that alone.
