Stealth review

Simple plot, a CGI fest and to sum it all up: a movie that requires no thinking to enjoy. I actually enjoyed this movie (then again; this coming from a person who enjoyed such films as "top gun" and "firefox" among other aviation based erm films). Yes the plot is overly simple and can be predicted within the opening minutes but I ask you...WHO CARES? When you have a popcorn flick such as this, it is best to just sit back, relax and enjoy the ride (reason why I enjoyed "transformers" so much). Director Rob Cohen has a list of films that he has directed and most if not all were fun to watch from which the most notable franchise being "the fast and furious" films. "Stealth" will not win any awards nor will it sit comfortably with most critics (don't get me started on them) but what it does do is provide some mindless entertainment and does not insult the intelligence of the viewer. If you are prepared to sit through 2 hours of explosions and not half bad CGI then do give this film a chance but DO NOT expect an Oscar worthy performance or a deep story line and you'll enjoy this. Brain not required.
