Three extremes 1 & 2 review

A collection of short films from renowned directors in a single box. In this collection we take a journey of the East from Hong Kong through to Thailand and what a journey it is. This is an assortment of movies that would feel right at home in any horror film collection but a word to the wise...do NOT take the word "extreme" lightly. I do enjoy foreign horror movies as much as the next person and I do not go for the "cheap" jump scares offered by Hollywood movies and the like. These six films tested me to the limit and I struggled to sit through each one. One particular story made me sick to the stomach and turn away from the screen in disgust but like watching a car crash, I couldn't avert my eyes. I am familiar with each of these directors and have enjoyed films of theirs in the past and to be quite honest I enjoyed all but two of the offerings shown here. The names of the various directors on this DVD set is enough for any horror fan to purchase as all names are first rate Asian directors. I will warn you though that if you do decide on watching/purchasing this anthology, two things to remember: 1. Don't watch on a full stomach and 2. forget what you know about horror movies as these take extremity to the extreme and are really disturbing. you have been warned.
