The shock labyrinth review

Another slow suspenseful movie and you know what?...I enjoyed it more than the rubbish "shock scare" Hollywood is churning out nowadays. Well, to be fair... Hollywood does on occasion get lucky and bring out a passable horror movie ("the mist""carnival of souls” "the hitcher" "woman in black" list is short I know) but as most people know by now if you want a good scare then look elsewhere. Anyway, back to the review; I would actually call this movie a suspenseful thriller that includes promotion of a real place (Fuji-Q). This movie kind of reminded me of the "silent hill" games (and maybe the film somewhat). All in all I would say that this film gives the viewer an uneasy feeling throughout...much like the horror films of old. Although this was shot in 3D I did not see it in 3D and maybe that is why I enjoyed it as most people did not. Films like these are a no-frills affair and one should keep that in mind when reviewing films such as this (hint hint). See this for what it is and not for the faults and you'll enjoy it but if like the majority of people you go see this expecting more than what is there, then of course you won't enjoy it.
