The green mile review

A film based on one of Stephen King's novel who also happens to be one of my favourite writers. Unfortunately I had read the book before I saw the film: never a good thing I know, hence by comparison this will never be as good as the book in my eyes. Your mind paints a more pleasing and different picture than what any director can do. Firstly would like to say that even though the running time is three hour eight minuets, they seem to go by far to quick and I actually was left wishing that they had included some bits from the book to further increase the running time by an hour or so. Masterfully told, the story is a very moving one and one of the best direction of filming I have seen coming out of Hollywood. Director Frank Darabont who also did “the shawshank redemption” succeeded in making another good film but have to say that enjoyed this one slightly more. This film will make you laugh and feel hatred towards the characters. Am sure that whoever watches this will most likely shed tears after it's over. A film worth watching just be sure to invest in some tissues before watching. Also would like to add that they did train the mouse and not just use CGI like nowadays.
