Girl with the dragon tattoo review

Saw this today and yes, as usual, have read books and seen the Swedish trilogy before the remake but as good as previous books and films were, didn't let that influence me (hard as it sounds). As per usual there were a lot of negativity floating around on the internet about this re-make by critics. Going into this movie with an open mind, it is actually quite good. ‎Each and every actor/actress played their role with relish especially the leading trio. Unlike most re-makes the venue is not changed and remains in Sweden. The only problem I had with the film was the different ways the director had of filming falling and settled snow. A beautifully filmed movie compared to the 2009 version but have to say that if you insist on comparing the two then the Swedish version wins on all accounts but as a standalone picture it's a damned good film
