Sin city double bill review

Went to cinema with high expectations for this one and like the screening of "pulp fiction" the cinema was packed with people. This is the closest two films you can see to the graphic novel and both are fun to watch. Although not a big fan of 3D movies I saw the second movie in 3D (big mistake) as am a fan of the comics. on to the review.....sadly it has to be said that the second continuation of the first just does not have the same impact. "A dame to kill for", a good story but does not translate to the screen well. The cast among which are some new faces are wrongly cast although I should mention that Eva Green is an excellent choice to play the sultry vixen (reminds me of someone) in the mentioned story. Apart from that the stories are a mixed batch. sitting among the audience I noticed that the first film got a lot more laughs than the second. Fan or not, "a dame to kill for" is worth watching. However, one does need to go in with a slightly lower expectation than with the first and enjoy it for what it is. As for me I would say that the first film was like "wow" and the follow up is more like a "meh"!
