First things first, I am a massive comic book fan and collector so films based on comics should be a match made in heaven right?? WRONG!! Some are ok, some are"meh" and some are just abominations of comics and graphic novels everywhere. Take "sin city 2" for example...in my opinion, if the remaining stories of the graphic novel were told then it would have been a better film. Anyway lets not get side tracked here; the first "avengers" movie put me to sleep during the first 20 minutes or so (tried watching it twice with same results). This however, didn't put me to sleep but was more of an okay film than a true "comic book" film and kept my interest (somewhat). The problem I had with it was that it was focused more on wowing the audience than telling of a story. CGI was top notch but as anyone who has stuck by me for any length of time would know CGI is a no-no in my book. Yes I know...how can you have a comic book based film without any CGI blah blah blah .Listen up folks...CGI needs to be done in the right amount and not be too excessive, adding to that, the storytelling should be told in such a way as to make one reminisce of younger days remembering the comics we all used to read. So all in all it was a good effort but a to me it was more of a "meh" movie with some good and entertaining elements included. For a near perfect graphic novel/comic based film I would recommend either "from hell" or "V for vendetta". Now those are how these movies should be done.
In this day and age, who has the time to read long reviews? So why not read opinions (one persons opinions but opinions nevertheless). As the title says, you will find my opinions on not only movies but gadgets, wearables, food or whatever I have an opinion about. Short disclaimer: these are MY opinions, they are not meant to offend anyone or be offensive. I started this blog as a hobby and it will continue to be my hobby and I will add to it whenever I have the time.
