Mad Max fury road review

Society fighting over water and yet burning oil like no tomorrow. Bad people, Bad attitudes, Bad cars, no making sense...all set in an apocalyptic wasteland...wonder what it could be?? It's Mad Max.
Returning after some 30 years and I'm pleased to say that this film deserves the title of "throwback to the 80s" (79 if you want to be exact). Director George Miller returns with a bang and what an explosion it is. "Mad Max" was directed by said director on a low budget in '79 and emerged to be a cult classic. Not my usual type of movie but as I did enjoy the originals (hey I was young), I had to see this. I wasn't expecting much of a story (keeping to tradition of previous films) but was expecting more "in your face" action and raw brutality and for that I wasn't disappointed. This film is just one looong car chase(s), explosions and (can't believe I'm saying this) the stunts shown here are nothing short of spectacular. Seriously, maybe it was because I had seen parts 1,2 and 3 the previous night and was in that mind-set but...for lack of better words, WOW...just wow!! It seems like many injuries must have occurred during filming, well that would be my guess anyway. This movie is violent though not "rusted blade" violent (see the '79 version to see what I mean). There is an attempt at a story here but c'mon now...who watches films like these for stories?People who want to  know; the story is very weak and laughable so don't bother. Although couldn't see this in 3D, I am sure this would have been really good in 3D even more so in IMAX. If you watched "Mad Max" when you were younger then this isn't something you'll want to miss. This movie is COMPLETELY bonkers and I mean that in a good way. If you can, this is worthy of an IMAX ticket purchase.
GO SEE IT!!!
