Election 2 review

Finally managed to get my hands on this DVD. Had to go quite a ways to get this but it was worth it. On to my review.Also known as "triad election 2". I thought that the first part was good; after watching this I'll gladly eat my words. The first film gave us a glimpse into the world of triads (Chinese mafia) well this one not only gives us a glimpse but turns it up to 11 and drags us kicking and screaming  into the triads world of brutality. This film should have come with a warning "not for the faint of heart" as it amps up the violence of the firrt film. I think that those of you who have already seen this will agrree with me when I say that the sequel has surpassed the original by a mile. Breaking the traditional wire-foo work that we are acustomed to and continuing the raw and brutal story of the inner-workings of the triads, this time around we are witness to how depraved the human psyche can get. This movie will stay with you long after the credits have rolled (some scenes more than others). It still is a slow but interesting build up, highly suspenseful to an explosive climax and willl have you  on the edge of your seat (if not on the floor). A highly recommended watch and I am now going to do some research and see if there is a third film (I hope there is).
