Kaiji the ultimate gambler review

Before I start on this review let me say that I have neither read the manga nor watched the anime series of this. What I can say is this...this is tense, very tense. It was so tense that I had to pause in places in order to calm myself and in places (without my realising it) I was holding breath in anticipation of the action on screen. In other words I enjoyed this film immensely...faults or no faults. Yes, it does have the reunion of the cast of (the excellent) "death note" films (with the exception of part 3 which was WTF???) which should be enough of an excuse to go watch this. Emotionally draining and has a thick atmosphere that you will need a chainsaw to cut; This is essential viewing for those of you who have an understanding of Japanese culture. For those of you who don't, give it a chance...who knows you might enjoy it as much as I did.
