The yakuza papers - final chapter review

It has been a long time coming but have finally reached the final episode of this saga. The most dialogue heavy of them all; episode 5 actually came as a disappointment to me. After watching the previous episodes which were entertaining but brutal, this one (although a somewhat satisfying conclusion) left a lot of loose ends. I would still recommend this saga to anyone who asks but would add that some of you might require repeated viewings of most films to understand the complex and twisting plot. 25 years of a yakuza's life told over 5 films and boy was it worth it. An emotionally draining journey and the film(s) do have some pacing issues in places which if you are not clued up or paying attention, will seem boring. If you are lucky enough to get your hands on the whole "yakuza" box set...the extras alone are worth the price. These 5 iconic films are worth watching if you are into true-life crime dramas and I would recommend highly.
