I enjoy a sports movie as much as the next person whatever the sport may be. However, boxing films will always be among my favourites (American football a close second) and this film has almost surpassed "Rocky"...almost. Every aspect of this film is done to near perfection: from the direction down to the acting....maybe even a masterpiece (but cant really say). Try as I might, I couldn't help but compare this movie to "Rocky" and the thing that I did realize was that this IS "Rocky" but Rocky in a bra (I don't mean an old man bra). There are a lot of loyalty issues shown in this film among other things and because it is directed by Eastwood, expect a lot of heartfelt moments. Once again Eastwood is behind the camera as well as in front and you know what...the man can give other actors a run for their money as he is still better than most. It is not just him with the good acting in this it is all of the actors and as for Hillary Swank, she has to be seen to be believed thats how good she is. This is a film not to be missed and I would recommend everyone to go see it.
