In this day and age, who has the time to read long reviews? So why not read opinions (one persons opinions but opinions nevertheless). As the title says, you will find my opinions on not only movies but gadgets, wearables, food or whatever I have an opinion about. Short disclaimer: these are MY opinions, they are not meant to offend anyone or be offensive. I started this blog as a hobby and it will continue to be my hobby and I will add to it whenever I have the time.

The mist review
Saw this the other day and I must say that this was one of the better adaptations of Stephen King stories. OK so the ending is different to the book but in my opinion it is more than fitting here than the novel ending would have been. King's books and novels have been more or less a hit or miss affair in transition to screen and most if not all have been a pleasure to watch. I did watch both the black and white as well as the colourised versions of this movie and found that the former works better and is more fitting to the subject matter. Although CGI was used alongside old skool effects, when watching this film you will not be hard pressed to distinguish which is which (I know that I wasn't). Adding to this is a cast that consists of "well known" actors to "not so well known" and they all do a very good job in keeping the nail-biting suspense going. Even though I have read the book a couple of times and knew what to expect: I was still gripped by this version and the ending came as a complete surprise for me but (again, my opinion) was fitting. Saying anything more would be a spoiler of sorts to those who wish to see it so I will end by saying that if you enjoyed King's earlier adaptations like 1408, desperation , the green mile, or even "the stand" then give this a go. The suspense is there even if you have read the book and the ending will throw you for a loop...either enraging you or leaving you with mixed emotions.
